Moderator/Administrator Code of Conduct

Post  Sko on Wed Oct 26, 2011 3:43 am

I'm officially implementing the Mod/Admin Code of Conduct. If you think a moderator or admin isn't following the relevant code of conduct. please let them know.
These codes may change, it's still under development, but its getting close to being done, might as well test it.

Moderator Code of Conduct:

Moderator permissions may only be used to enforce posted rules, not personal beliefs and vendettas. (Sorting permissions are partial exception - these should be used to keep items well sorted.)

Moderators must set a good example for the community. Repeated violations should result in loss of position or other disciplinary action, regardless of individual. (No “community politics”)

Administrator Code of Conduct:

Administrators are to respect everyone, and keep their best interests in mind.

Admins must set a good example for the community. Just because you have total control doesn’t mean you have immunity. Whenever possible, multiple admins should be present, to keep each other accountable.

Rule violations should result in disciplinary action or even loss of position.

Administrators are not to abuse their authority, even if what they are doing is “technically” allowed by the rules. No, “Oh yeah! Well, I can remove your account and ban your IP addreds if I want to, you looser!”

That won't be needed, but moderators need to follow it, period. But if you want to get in the habit of following it, go ahead.

The new movie:
Attack of the Ferocious Actresses and Christmas Cats!
In theaters today.
(or not)

Rated PG-13 for scenes where a Christmas cat gets wet and almost kills a ferocious actress.
